Help with character POVs in my story?

Okay, so basically I came up with this story idea with originally one character: James. In the story, the character wakes up to find that everyone has disappeared. But then I realized I needed more characters, so I made several others who had not vanished. The story is in first person perspective. So should I do "head-hoppng" where I alternate between each character's POV, or should I stick with James and just make the others secondary???
