ASF rats pregnant through cage bars?

I have two cages; one for the females and one for the males. About 2 weeks ago all of the females escaped and now it looks like one of them is pregnant. I managed to get them all back in their cage but I think they may have mated through the bars of the males' cage. One of my other rats have been pregnant before so I know what they look like when they are pregnant.
